11:00 AM - 12:00 PM    Beginner Pickleball - Beginner Pickleball - Fall 2022
Learn to play the fast growing sport with the funny name.Have you ever played ping-pong, tennis, racquetball, badminton?Whether you played a “few” years ago, yesterday or never, pickleball is the sport for you.• You will be taught to play in a non-judgmental environment. All ages/abilities welcome. • Intro will cover the basic rules of play, strokes, strategies and court etiquette.• The court is about half the size of a tennis court (with a net) and usually played “doubles” or mixed-gender doubles. • You will use a paddle a little bigger than a ping-pong paddle and a whiffle type ball. (Equipment supplied by the Rec Dept.)• This is good opportunity to get some exercise, learn a “new” sport, and meet new energetic friends. Wear court shoes and comfortable loose clothing, suitable for exercising.Bring water…smiles…and enthusiasm….It’s a fun game!!

9:00 AM - 10:30 AM    Boston Area Regional Pickleball Leagues - Boston Area Regional Pickleball League - Fall 2022
Medway Parks and Recreation is partnering with USTA New England to run a new pickleball league. This league is for intermediate players with intermediate level being defined as having dependable shot control and serves, sustaining medium-length rallies, starting to understand variations of pace and depth of shots. Medway's team team will be part of a four team division and games will be played against the other teams in the division over the course of a 4 week season. Each week, players will play four 15 minute games against the opposing team. Games will rotate each week between the Norwood and Medway pickleball courts. You may sign up as an individual or request to be with a partner. Each team will have a captain that sets the lineup each week. Players will provide their paddles and USTA will provide the balls and a player gift.

4:00 PM - 5:30 PM    Beginner Pickleball (One day session) - Pickleball 101 - Fall 2022 - September 27
For brand new players, or players with minimal playing experience.  This class will cover the basic rules and strategy of how to play Pickleball.  The 90-minute session allows ample time for instruction and to play games as well!
 
5:45 PM - 7:15 PM    Pickleball Coached Doubles - Coached Doubles Play - Fall 2022
For Advanced Beginners and Intermediate players.  This is a great class for players who are looking to build their on-court confidence to join casual or competitive meet-up groups, or for players who are looking to boost their general on-court skills.  This play-heavy session will focus on in-game strategy, help focus on fundamentals of the game, and where points were won and/or lost during play. *Partner not necessary to attend!*
 
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM    Outdoor Pickleball - Outdoor Pickleball - Fall 2022 - Tuesday
Each week, four courts will be set up, teams will be formed from those who are in attendance, and games will then be played.
