The Medway Police Department is pleased to announce the return of its Youth Leadership Academy for a third year in 2026, open to youth ages 11–13. Recruits will spend the day participating in team-building activities, field games, drill and ceremony, and learning about the many roles and specialties within policing.
Participants will also enjoy an off-site field trip, which will include a boat ride, and will receive an academy shirt, shorts, and a water bottle. Recruits must be able to independently ride a bike.
New this year: Applicants must submit a short letter explaining why they would like to attend the program. Participants will be selected through an application process.
Registration will open for the waiting list. Once participants are accepted, families will receive an email and the remaining balance will be due at that time.
