What is the Teen Boating Camp?
Embark on a sailing journey like no other with our Junior Program, designed for teens aged 13-17. At Regatta Point, we blend the thrill of sailing with the development of personal responsibility and independence. This program is not just about learning to sail; it's about growing as an individual and as part of a community. Our camp offers 9 one-week
sessions running from 9am to 4pm, perfectly tailored for kids who can confidently swim 75 yards and tread water for 3 minutes. And guess what? Many of our campers love it so much, they return for multiple weeks and some, all summer!

What Sets Our Teen Program Apart?
Our program offers an exceptional level of freedom, encouraging teens to make responsible choices and manage their time effectively. Members enjoy the liberty of choosing their activities, ensuring they're actively engaged and invested in their learning. This autonomy, coupled with our expert coaching and instruction, creates an environment
where teens thrive. Responsibility and Freedom: The Core of Our Program
Junior Members are entrusted with significant responsibilities, from punctuality in lessons to setting personal learning goals. They'll learn to embody the Regatta Point principles of “Safety, Fun, and Learning” in everything they do. This program is ideal for teens ready for a higher level of independence, with our Deckhand Program available for those
seeking closer supervision.

Contribution and Teamwork
At Regatta Point, every member contributes. Teens will help maintain our facilities, assist in minor equipment repairs, and support less experienced sailors. This sense of community and teamwork is at the heart of our Corinthian Spirit, fostering honor and integrity both on and off the water.

Expansive Learning Opportunities
Our Junior Program is rich in learning experiences. From mastering basic sailing in the Beginner I Class aboard stable Hunter 15s to advancing to high-performance sailboats in our Upper Level Classes, teens explore various aspects of sailing. The program culminates with our Racing Class, where they learn advanced techniques and prepare for regattas and team sailing.

A Structured, Progressive Approach
We employ a "chunking model" for learning, allowing students to master each skill set before progressing. This approach leads to small tests and certifications, aligning with the US Sailing Accredited curriculum. This method ensures a comprehensive and rewarding learning experience.

Why Wait? Set Sail on a Journey of Discovery!
Our Junior Program at Regatta Point is more than a sailing camp. It's a transformative experience where teens learn to sail, develop character, and embrace a sense of responsibility and community. Enroll your teen today and watch them grow into confident, capable sailors and individuals. For more information, contact us at info@regattapoint.org or call (508)757-2140.
