9am-12pm Robotics Extravaganza (Grades 2-5)
In this Snapology robotics program, your student will begin to explore the world of robotics as they follow instructions to build various models utilizing LEGO® WeDo 2.0 that teach the fundamentals of robotic design. With a partner they will use sensors, build and utilize simple machines, explore the utility of gears and axles, and use coding and engineering design to solve practical robotic challenges. Your student will be challenged in fun ways that will captivate their interests and grow their technical skills. Groups will be formed based on age and the builds will be selected from a combination of our Creature Creator, Game Bots, and Space Wars programs.
1:00pm – 4:00pm STEAM Survivor (Grades 2-5)
Are you ready for a challenge? Snapology’s S.T.E.A.M. Survivor program will put your students’ design, building, and critical thinking skills to the test! They will be given daily challenges for which they must design functional solutions with their teammate! They will learn Survivor Bucks when they perform well and be able to use those survivor bucks to purchase supplies or prizes throughout the camp. The goal of this program is to encourage our students to carefully work through the engineering design process to see how often they can design with a purpose.
Want to do both? Great! Join us for a full day of fun!
About Snapology Hopedale:
At Snapology we believe that children are meant to learn through play. When children are engaged in interactive, hands-on learning activities, their creativity flourishes and they show an increased interest in school. We help your child grow up with a thirst for knowledge. How do we do it? Snapology engages children ages 1-14 using LEGO® bricks, K’Nex and technology. While the kids are having fun with familiar toys, laptops and iPads, we sneak in the learning. Shh, don't tell them it's educational!
